Welcome to the HU MPH Social and Behavioral Sciences WIKI

Your assignment for the semester is to create a highly professional, accurate, and useful WIKI that could be used to educate professionals and lay persons about how to address an important public health issue.

First, your group must select a public health issue that you will research and write about collaboratively throughout the  semester.

Throughout the semester, your group will do the following:

Research the PEER REVIEWED literature on the topic.

Provide epidemiologic data on your topic from high quality sources

Discuss the role of public health professionals play in addressing the issue

Propose appropriate public-health activities that could improve problems related to the issue you selected

Appropriately incorporate concepts from theories discussed in the course into your plan

A list of learning objectives and public health competencies is provided for you on the Blackboard website.

Each of the objectives and competencies must be addressed within your WIKI.  Use headings and subheadings as a way to identify each required section.

You may include weblinks, files, and other data you feel would be beneficial
